Self-Care Sunday

    Sundays are my day to catch up on life. While Kyle may be working on a project in our basement and I'm folding laundry or cleaning- I like to carve out some "me" time too. I'm the worst at taking time for personal care, so I've made it a mission to slow down over the weekend and make it a priority.  I totally recommend making some self-care a part of your routine too. 

   Some times self-care is meeting a friend for lunch (yay for girl dates), some days it's just putting on a pot of tea & a super moisturizing face mask while I'm crossing off my to-do list around the house. Part of practicing better work/life balance includes making more time for yourself and the things that bring you joy and make you feel fulfilled. It doesn't have to be extravagant- indulging in some self care can be as small as a deep conditioning hair mask to taking time to read a new book to whipping up your childhood favorite (cinnamon toast) for breakfast.

   I thought I'd share a few of the things I'm "indulging" in this weekend below!

My Self-Care Sunday Essentials

1.  Derma E Activated Charcoal Cleanser - my skin feels so clean after using this! | 2. Rishi Tea - local to Milwaukee | 3. Tulsara Wedding Mask - pricey but feels like a spa day | 4. Turquoise Earrings (similar) - putting these on makes me feel instantly pulled together | 5. "Vitamin N" Book - Kyle's parents bought us this for Christmas- it's perfect as we plan for our life on the farm

   
  These small things can do so much for your overall health & happiness! I like to choose Sunday as my day of self- care because it helps me relax and ease into the upcoming week ahead. The more I think about it, my self care routine has a lot of hygge vibes-- which is probably why I love that philosophy so much. It always helps to have someone to help you stay accountable, especially when it comes to prioritizing yourself!
