Design Inspiration: Scandinavian Style
Starting to think about the design aesthetic for our future home has been one of the fun parts of planning our renovation. We're feeling extra Scandinavian style right now. It's clean, bright, and cozy for all seasons. Kyle has Norwegian roots, so I love the subtle nod to family history too.
What's great about this look is that it's easily mixes in with the rustic and mid-century modern designs we love too. Scandinavian style is marked by minimalism, natural elements, with a cozy feel all-around. Eames style chairs, glowing candles, woodblock art prints & soft faux sheepskin rugs perfectly fit in with this hygge vibe.
See a few of our interior design picks to help you incorporate this style into your own home.

It's so easy to imagine cozying up to our wood burning stove with coffee and a good book in a home that has that Scandinavian feel. IKEA is obviously a great resource to find affordable pieces with that minimalist Swedish vibe, but etsy is another great resource for unique pieces from makers. We've been savings lots of inspo from SkandiHome, Nordic Design House, and Keephouse Studio!
