Cozy Holiday Candle Vibes

It's not officially the holidays in the Anderson household until we break out the seasonal candles. I'm a sucker for the scents that evoke the sweetest memories of this time of year -- mulled wine,  spice pumpkin, spruce, eggnog.. you name it we've tried it.  There's just something so cozy about a candle glowing on the coffee table. Just add a glass of vino & Christmas movie on Netflix and you have yourself the perfect night in.

We've selected a few candles to help bring on the cozy winter vibes in your house. It's one of our favorite items to gift & buy from independent makers!

For us, candles are one of those little luxuries that is worth the splurge. Speaking of splurges; when you're selecting a candle, look for details about the burning time. Usually, a slow-burning soy candle outlasts a cheaper parrafin wax candle- so it can be worth an extra few bucks!

Tips for Making Candles Last Longer:

  1. Choose candles that are made from slower-burning waxes like soy or beeswax
  2. Stick your candle in the fridge for an hour or 2 before burning, this slows down the melting process (score!)
  3. Trim the wicks prior to burning so the candle burns longer & more evenly
  4. Let the entire top of the candle pool with wax prior to blowing or snuffing it out. This allows it to burn more evenly rather than dipping down in the center.

Anyone else feel like it just isn't the holidays without their Christmas-y candle burning?
